Looking at the classification here in the forum and at the classification on http://golden-sands.rally-club.net/years_en/1974_en.html I start to think that the results of the Soviet Union team (9th, 13th, 33rd) are maybe results for the "Peace and friendship" championship and they are not their standings in the final classification. I remember that I saw the standings of the SU team in an article from old SU newspaper or magazine. I have to check again what it says.

First Rally Zlatni Piassatzi was in 1970 year, therefore the photos was from early other rally, #51 was Ilia & Kolio Tschoubrikov.

I use English version for names of the drivers, not the Hungarian.

Chubrikov - it is not Hungarian version.
Csubrikov - this is the Hungarian version.

I am - always - looking for old photographers, collectors, who has original photos - slides, negatives - from pre 1990 era, from behind the "Iron Curtain".
Also, there are many old photos in my archive, that I do not remember who were.....this is the reason, why I am sharing never before published old photos on the Net at many forums....
Somebody likes it, somebody does not like.....

Walter Röhrl - Jochen Berger, retired accident
Altenheimer - retired because his co-driver(Bulgarian co-driver?) made a serious mistake on route.
Zöckl - Schurek BMW - retired, accident

First time I've seen the of Chubrikov in a portuguese newspaper was in one article made by Martin Holmes and the name he used was Tchoubrikov ! That's why I used it from the beggining ! Also Attila Ferjancz !

Transliteration of Чубриков in latin alphabet should be Chubrikov. However on his cars the name was written Tchoubrikov. So it is hard for me to say which one we should use.

Gentlemen,

Tchoubrikov was the French transliteration of the name of Master Ilia.
Just remember that the original official language of FIA was French. Therefore, most Cyrillic language written names were transliterated using the French spelling rules.

Hence the difference.
Same about Cyrillic transliteration of Ferjancz.
In Russian it is palatalized - Ферьянц (using the "soft mark" (miagky znak)) for J.
In Bulgarian it is simply Ферианц, hence transliteration using I instead of J.
